Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 4 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made from Newman’s MOT Services, operated by NEWMAN’S MOT SERVICES LIMITED, company number 09502393, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 5 Green Ct, Village Farm Rd, Pyle, Bridgend, CF33 6BN, United Kingdom. VAT number: GB142594410.
1. Products
We sell physical automotive parts, workshop equipment and vehicle accessories. We aim to describe goods accurately and to keep prices and availability up to date. Product images may be illustrative where supplied by a manufacturer or supplier.
2. Prices and VAT
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Prices shown to consumers include VAT where VAT applies, unless the website clearly states otherwise. Any delivery charge or other mandatory charge will be shown before you place the order. Standard UK delivery is currently free.
3. Orders and acceptance
When you place an order you make an offer to buy the goods. We will acknowledge the order electronically. The contract is formed when we accept the order. We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance if payment is not authorised, an item is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing or description error, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If we cancel after taking payment, we will refund the amount due.
4. Payment
Online payment methods currently available for this store are displayed securely at checkout. Payment must be completed using an available method shown at checkout. We do not describe any online payment method as available before it has been activated and displayed at checkout.
5. Delivery
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom. Orders normally require 2–5 business days for processing, followed by an estimated 5–8 business days for standard delivery after processing. Standard delivery is free. Unless a different delivery period is agreed with you, goods must be delivered without undue delay and normally within 30 days of the contract being made. Delivery estimates do not reduce your statutory rights.
6. Cancellation rights for distance purchases
For most goods bought online, UK consumers have a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason. The cancellation period generally ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person you nominate, receive the goods. Statutory exceptions apply to certain goods. You may notify us by a clear statement or use the model cancellation form in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
If you validly cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back. We will make any refund required by law within the applicable statutory period. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for return costs, deductions for diminished value and refund timing.
7. Voluntary 30-day returns
In addition to statutory rights, eligible goods are covered by our voluntary 30-day return period from delivery. This does not replace, restrict or reduce rights under UK consumer law.
8. Faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrect goods
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable and as described. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers may have a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods within 30 days, subject to the Act. Other remedies, including repair, replacement, a price reduction or a final right to reject, may also apply depending on the circumstances. Where the law requires us to bear reasonable return or remedy costs, we will do so.
9. Risk and ownership
Risk in the goods passes to you when you, or a person you nominate, take physical possession of them, except where the law provides otherwise. Ownership passes when we have received payment in full and the goods have been delivered, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
11. Privacy and cookies
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are subject to our consent mechanism where consent is legally required.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
